Seattleites are never at a loss when it comes to great salons in the city, but many of these businesses cater to women, so today I'm pleased to announce that today Seattle will welcome a new barber shop to the Downtown area, Weldon Barber. This Washington-based collection of modern men’s grooming shops seeks to reinvent the barber shop experience. In collaboration with Aveda Men, Weldon Barber is commitment to creating a first-class barber experience by providing clients with a consistent, convenient, quality hair cutting service. Grooming services include: the Weldon Signature Cut, Weldon Kids Cut, Weldon Time Saver Cut, Head Shaving, Maintenance Services, Neck Shaves, Face Shave, Camouflage Color services, and Hand and Foot Grooming. Designed BY men FOR men, guests of Weldon Barber feel perfectly at home in oversized armchairs with their feet up while enjoying complimentary beverages and watching sports on flat screen TV's. (This is seriously my husbands dream!)

As part of Weldon Barber and Aveda’s joint venture, Kurt Kueffner, Men’s Market Development Consultant for Aveda, led a complete education program for Weldon Barber stylists on hair cutting for men. Stylists also learned how to incorporate value-added Aveda Rituals of Renewal—customized specifically for the male guest—to Weldon Barber’s regimen, including:

-Hot towel treatments featuring the Aveda Men Pure-Formance Composition, a multi-functional blend of essential oils that soothes and rejuvenates scalp, body and hair

- Hand massages with Aveda Hand Relief™, a rich hand creme derived from plant-based ingredients, that helps soften and smooth hands

Weldon Barber opens on Veteran's Day, November 11th and is honoring all those that have served with free haircuts for veterans and active duty fire and police officers.
